Types of Angles: Part 1 (August 19)

Vertical Angles are those angles that are opposite each other when two lines intersect. In this figure, ACB and ACB are vertical angles.


Complementary angles add up to 90°. In this figure, QRT and TRS are complementary.
QRT + TRS = 90°

Supplementary angles add up to 180°. In this figure, ACD and DCE are supplementary. ACB and BCE are also supplementary.
ACD + DCE = 180°
