Types of Angles: Part 1 (August 19)

Vertical Angles are those angles that are opposite each other when two lines intersect. In this figure, ∠ACB and ∠ACB are vertical angles.

Complementary angles add up to 90°. In this figure, ∠QRT and ∠TRS are complementary.

∠QRT + ∠TRS = 90°

Supplementary angles add up to 180°. In this figure, ∠ACD and ∠DCE are supplementary. ∠ACB and ∠BCE are also supplementary.

∠ACD + ∠DCE = 180°
